Creative Solutions How To :: Customizing a Country Club

You and your fiancé have just booked the perfect venue: a local country club.  You love the space, but really want to give it that special touch.  How do you customize the country club?

Many options are available for you to consider.
1. Draping.  To create visual interest, consider adding a bit of draping.  It can instantly change the look and feel of any space.  Whether you are looking for soft and romantic or bold and colorful, draping can create the perfect backdrop for your reception.
For the perfect example of colorful draping, we turn to Austin and Zach; they had one of our favorite weddings last year.  The couple incorporated a bold, beautiful purple drape in their reception hall.  Creative Solutions even built a small tent, draped in purple, in their ballroom! Now that is a transformation!ProjectLifePhoto_WilliamsBLOG0055 Photo Credit: Project Life Photography

Draping can also be very soft and romantic.  By installing sheer light fabric with a few twinkle lights, you can easily recreate the photo shown below.1406b68f4b07e79d81807ce1046bc7abPhoto Credit:

2. Seating:  Most country clubs and hotel ballrooms include tables and chairs for their events.  This is very helpful for those who are watching their budgets.  However, we understand their chairs may not be quite what you had envisioned for the wedding.   When in comes to seating, your options are almost limitless.  A classic, elegant chiavari may be just the ticket to spruce up a ballroom. Or you may prefer a more casual wooden chair to create a more relaxed atmosphere.

3. Lighting:  most venues do not allow couples to hang items on their walls, which is perfectly understandable.  An easy way to transfer ordinary to extraordinary is through your lighting.  Uplighting is a great option for many ballrooms; it allows for a customized color palette, without damaging any walls.  It is a fantastic way to enhance any space.Uplighting-MagentaPhoto Credit: Aaron Beach Productions

Other lighting options include: chandeliers, twinkle lights, paper lanterns, spot lights and market lights.  Depending on your venue’s regulations, these may be the perfect option for you!Miniutti_Carberry_RobertoFalckPhotography_1209291WD0988_0_lowPhoto Credit: Koru Wedding Style
