Tables and Chairs: Setting the Foundation

The foundation of your holiday party begins with your dining setup. The tables and chairs you select will set the tone for your event's overall aesthetic. For this particular event, we started with Gold Chiavari chairs and Square Banquet tables. Once you've made your choices, you'll be able to plan the layout, ensuring there’s enough space for guests to gather and roam.

Linens: Adding Color and Texture

Once the layout is complete, add linens. For a sophisticated holiday event, you can’t go wrong with sleek, solid black. We also love Hunter Green Velvet—it’s soft, cozy, and festive. Dark tones like these make your metallic accents stand out more by creating a striking contrast.

China and Chargers: Set the Stage for Dining

After the linens have been placed, let’s start on our china! We adore the combination of the Arlo Wood charger with the clear glass Henderson china collection (pictured above). And since our theme is Emerald & Gold, we’ll stick with our Gold Vernon flatware for consistency. It’ll pop against our black tablecloths and sparkle in the candlelight.

Wondering if chargers are necessary? We say yes! They not only elevate your tablescape and add elegance to your event, but they also protect your linens and provide a beautiful frame for your dinner plates.

Glassware: Sparkling Sips for Every Toast

This is where the table truly starts to shine! Next, add our Charleston glassware for water and wine. With their gold rims, these glasses bring a touch of sparkle to any room. If you're serving champagne, consider renting Gatsby coupes too—they look stunning next to the Charleston collection and bring a glamorous, luxurious touch.

If the weather is particularly chilly, offer coffee service too (or other warm beverages). Even if your attendees are warm and happy indoors, they’ll appreciate the coziness.

Candles: Adding Warmth and Glow

Now it’s time for ambiance! For our lighting, we’ll start small and work our way up. Pepper your table with as many candles as can comfortably (and safely!) fit. Mix together small votives, medium-sized pillars, and tall tapers. It’s okay if they are somewhat haphazardly scattered about—the end result will be captivating.

One quick note on candles—many venues have rules about tapers and pillars being covered by glass hurricanes to protect them from tipping over. Ask your venue contact person for specifics!

Chandeliers: Final Touches of Glamour

Then, for our finishing touch, add chandeliers throughout your space. At this event, we used the Astrid Gold chandelier since it fit our color scheme so nicely. The Gold Leaf or Vintage Crystal chandeliers could also work beautifully with this holiday theme. We think every party can benefit from a little bit of glitz and glam!
